HISTORYLocal handi bus service was originally formed in 1980 when a Balzac resident approached a Calgary branch of the Royal Canadian Legion for the donation of a handibus to be utilized by children within the Rocky View area. A society wasfounded by local parents, who wished to utilize the handibus and promote the integration of the special needs children within the Rocky View School Division. Since those early days, Handi Bus By C.R.A.B. Society has grown into an organization with seven vehicles serving the North and East regions of Rocky View. We work with seven municipalities and two school boards to transport people whosedisability prevents them from accessing regular transportation sources.
